Overdue

Wow, it's been over a month since my last post. That's bad blogging. In my defense, it has been a busy month though. I moved house from Liverpool to the Wirral. As I mentioned in my last post, I have been thinking about moving back down to London to find work. Whilst I still think there are plenty of opportunities in London, I also want to keep myself open to opportunities elsewhere. To avoid tying myself down to a new tenancy agreement, I've swallowed my pride and moved back into my parents' house for a while.

It can be a little depressing to find myself back in my parents house in my mid twenties, but I've been here a few weeks now and have managed to stay optimistic about the whole thing. It doesn't seem like much has changed from the last time I looked for regular work. As usual, I'm finding people more than happy to offer me freelance work, but no one offering full-time employment. Naturally it's always great to have the income and contacts as a freelancer, but when you're looking for regular employment, it can be a little frustrating. Having said that, the freelance work I have coming in keeps my mind off things and gives me the opportunity to get out of the house occasionally. Speaking of which, Brazilica is finally here.

I've been working with Orb events on the Brazilica festival for months now, and it all comes to a head this weekend. From July 15th-17th there will be all kinds of Brazilian themed events and activities going on in Liverpool, with the main event being a giant street party in Williamson Square on the Saturday. I've been working with Orb and the event sponsors to coordinate content to be shown on a big screen in Williamson Square during the event. It's been a pretty big project to pull together, but the end is in sight. We still have a little way to go yet though. All I should really say at this point is, if you're around at all this weekend, get into Liverpool and bring your dancing shoes because it's going to be amazing.
